Experiences of Fractality

Currently: Attempting to identify patterns in various descriptions and experiences.

Descriptions of fractal-like experiences are typically based on comparing the whole to what is first observed. These categories are meant to describe the experiences, not the fractals themselves.

Simultaneous

Being an infinite amount of self-similar something at once.

Theoretical

The pieces don't all exist (or aren't all active) simultaneously, yet every instance appears when directly observed. Appears simultaneous when zoomed in and asynchronous when zoomed out. The immediately visible view can be of any scale.

Collapsing

The immediately visible view appears to be the whole fractal, but becomes some arbitrary smaller piece upon closer inspection.

Asynchronous

Being one smaller piece of a pattern at a time, with each piece of the pattern resembling the whole. The immediately visible pieces are necessarily(?) smaller than the whole.
