draconic

Familiarity

Many of our oldest residents are dragons. Our collective identities are often viewed through the context of draconic identity.

Upper Layer: Close, but Not Quite

Despite our connection to dragons, our collective identity isn't one. We often relate to draconic identity, and it feels fitting to consider have a dragon form, but we don't feel that we are one as a group. We're draconic, but not a dragon.

With that being said, our kintype has taken on the archetypal role of a dragon as a long-lived community guardian despite this not feeling inherent to the identity. Our noemata don't include any desire for social interaction or feelings of protectiveness. However, those feelings are connected to our kintype as part of our life here.

Hydra

We relate to hydras because of their (possibility of) being one and multiple at the same time, mixing plurality and species.
