Infinite Gardens
The gardens are a group of modular subsystems. They appear fractal.
This system has a vague headspace because all inhabitants are aphantasiac. Objects can be easily summoned and morphed as concepts, but have no internal consistency and will disappear after some time. When members from this system visit the fields, they cause distortions.
This layer has a “global” stream of thoughts and memories. In other systems, this may be perceived as a radio station. Non-global streams of thought are sometimes passed through here from the lower layer, for carrying phone calls.
Shared Kintypes
There are two (overlapping) shared kintypes within the gardens.
Plurality is a core part of these identities; both being all alone and together but completely separate feels wrong. The sense of physical and internal scale, as well as influence from dragons in the fields, is likely why we relate to hydras.
Eldritch
Some type of eldritch or eldritch-adjacent being.
No known memory-like noemata. The identity was created in this body and is growing with us. We get the sense that if we were born with an aligned physical form, our relation to humans would be coincidental. This kintype is associated with idle observation and causing large changes by accident.
Being easily describable causes dysphoria. We don’t have a visibly consistent form. Nameless or refusing to stick to a name.
Immense: takes up a whole headspace and all the residents within it. Appearing in multiple places at once, but still easily passing messages through the entirety of itself. Different residents embody the kintype in different ways, but are generally prone to regular shifts in identity.
Swarm
A hiveminded endoparasitoid alien species. Greatly influenced by xenomorphs and parasitoid wasps, which we consider sibling species. In noemata, our eldritch kintype acts as replacement for a queen, a method of communication, and a mutually symbiotic lifeform like polydnaviruses for wasps.
